For my son's graduation from high school and his 18th birthday which were a week apart, we hooked him up with a two day fishing trip charter. Back to back days fishing on Lake Ontario aboard the Fake Fishing Boat with Captain Brian Eel. Thursday was a 1:00 afternoon start and Friday a 5:00AM start. Capt Brian had picked our starting target area. Right off we had a 23lb king on. After a 20 - 30 minute fight my son had the first fish of the day on board. The action was hot, lake on its best behavior, and even after releasing back some 8-10 lb Kings and Steel-head we were close to our limit. Bingo, another 20+ King brought an early end to day one.

Day two, same spot caught and released a 5-7 Lb King right off. Missed two with one straightening the hook after about 15 minutes into the battle. Then the bite died. No bait on the chart, swapping rigs out, complete drop off. No two days are the same on Champlain either. After a couple of more passes Brian went on the hunt. Networking he found although smaller catches, action in front of Oswego but nothing happening out deep or west. He decided to go to an unlikely spot where he had found them hiding before. Not one boat for miles in this area and what do you know, the bait started showing up. First an arch, then a vertical arch right after and Fish-on! He found them and we had a 20+ king in the box. We worked the area for the next few hours landing four 20+ Kings with one at 25. My son was able to limit out two days in a row. Again we released fish; 8-10 lb Lakers and Kings. Quite spoiled we ended up not keeping anything under 15lbs. It was a special trip for a couple special occasions that really provided priceless memories. We had the good luck with weather, fishing, and the choice of boat and Captain.

Thanks Brian!!! Hope to post a video of one of the beasts being landed later. ( see fishing reports page)

Brian,

Just wanted to say thanks for a great fishing trip. We caught a lot of fish and you went above and beyond setting up the other boat for my parents. They also had a good time.We lucked out when we picked you as a charter you are great at what you do.Both times we have been out fishing with you other charters were struggling to catch fish and we didnt seem to have any problems catching our limit. Thanks again and we will see you on our next trip.

Captain Brain,

Thanks for giving my family memories that we'll always remember and for
working so hard to make it another successful trip.  The conditions were
tough and we are all very impressed with your professional expertise
and thankful for the privilege to fish with you.  I have booked charters
from here to Florida and can honestly say you're the best I've seen.  We'll
return for many years to come and wish you all the best.

Thanks again,
Chris Patrie

TO ALL WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING FISHING:
Myself and 2 of my brothers utilized the expertise of Capt Brian and Fake Fishing Boat in May of this year, and lets just say that it was well worth he experience.  We maxed out on Brown trouts, steel heads etc.  We had hits from the first minute to the last minute.  Capt Brian is very knowledgeable on his waterfront and fish species, but beyond that he is a great Guide and Fishing Captain.  He made us feel comfortable, and we had a blast.  All 3 of us have been on many, many other fishing charters around the northeast and I can honestly say Brian was by far the best Captain and offered the best fishing experience.

Brian we thank you and look forward to enjoying some King Salmon this August.

Good morning Brian,

Wanted to say thank you for a great trip. We really enjoyed ourselves.
We loved the boat and your work ethic and you certainly take it serious. It
was a great experience to finally fulfill one of my life-long dreams and I
look very forward to coming back and hooking into a nice big Salmon.
Thanks again for a great trip and enjoy the pictures.
